Lucina survives being attacked by these common enemies while being unbuffed but having Shield Pulse ready: I should mention that using Aegis and Shield Pulse will not have Shield Pulse ready at the beginning of a map unless you have Infantry Pulse on another unit or an accelerated cooldown weapon. Drive Spd 2 has a lot of synergy with Geirskögul so I never changed it. At this point I was still using Sturdy Blow 2 because it was in her base kit and moderately effective but it wasn't really helping her survive the threats I cared about.This led to the switch to Distant Defense to really let her absorb ranged hits. Her 40 base speed also helps her not be doubled by -breath users so it is difficult for her to lose to a magical unit in a single round of combat. Once the Sacred Seals Forge was released I quickly upgraded the Deflect Magic seal in order to drastically increase Lucina's ability to survive multiple magical attacks. However, if she was doubled she was almost certainly defeated and Reinhardt is a very common threat. With 40 speed thanks to the boon and merge, Lucina was able to handle most mages hitting her once. I have been very fortunate with summoning multiple Sabers and so I gave Lucina Shield Pulse and Aegis. Since Lucina essentially has 30 base defense I wanted to focus on ways to keep her alive through magical attacks. Reposition is ubiquitous for a reason and my favorite assist skill for almost all melee units. Geirskögul is a very unique weapon and I see little reason to run another weapon on her unless you're going for a completely player phase build with the Firesweep Lance. To further enhance the support abilities of this unit, she was given Drive Speed to increase allies speed by another three when they enter combat! With all of this utility I decided to go for a survival oriented build.Īt first I was a little skeptical on having an attack bane but I was quite happy with the speed boon and this set in motion my attempt to create a durable Lucina. However, Geirskögul has another, more impactful effect by providing all physically damaging allies three attack and speed if they are within two spaces of Lucina. This works well with her new weapon, Geirskögul, which gives her an additional three defense. This spread is extremely similar to her Falcion stat line but has two more defense by sacrificing two hit points. Let's start off by looking at her base stats.
